A Few Facts
Hello, my name is Amber Adams, and I am very happy you are here. The first thing I think you should know about me is that I am a Christian, which means that I follow Jesus Christ and purpose be as much like Him as possible. I am also human and come short of His glory. (Romans 3:23, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; KJV)
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Aaron, for 16 years and thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the life we have built together in Christ. He is my very best friend, my closest confidant, as well as my Pastor. I will share our story more in depth in a future post.
We have seven amazing children together. When I was a teenager two different doctors told me I would not be able to have children. Thank the Lord that He knows what the doctors do not. After all He is the one who created my body. Our children range in age from 16 years to 2 weeks old. So, I have lots of good, well trained help at home.
Some of my Passions
I am very passionate about quite a few things really, but top on that long list of passions is a fervent love for studying scripture, and making a point of having quiet, alone time each morning with the Lord. He wants us to communicate with Him. Not only ask for things but also to hear from Him what He wants from us.
Along with personal devotion, I also strive to bring the love and joy of Christ to others everyday, whether it’s to those in my own home or strangers at the grocery store. There is always an opportunity to share Him with others if we are looking for it. One of the best sermons I’ve heard my husband preach was on never missing God’s divine appointments for you. It forever changed the way I go about my day. I even have a friend who from time to time brings that sermon up to me and shares with me how it changed her, too. I love seeing how God uses my husband in the lives of others!
Serving
Serving my husband and reverencing him above all others, aside from the Lord of course, is another strong passion of mine. Some good scripture to reference for this concept are, Ephesians 5:22, 24 & 23, Colossians 3:18, Titus 2:5, 1 Peter 3:5 KJV. My husband has made many sacrifices to ensure that we can live the way we have purposed for our family. He makes it easy for me to live out these scriptures. He does what he can to make my life easier and better, and I try to do the same for him. That is one of the reasons I have started this blog. He is my number one human priority followed very closely by our children.
I also enjoy homeschooling! It is such a special thing that so many parents miss out on these days. We feel very strongly that God has entrusted us to train up the children, that He so graciously blessed us with. I could not imagine allowing someone else to have a larger influence on them than I do. I love getting to experience all of those little moments when things click in their heads for the first time. The glisten in their eye and the sense of accomplishment you can see beaming out of them when they read for the first time without help. Or when they recite a Bible verse from memory. There are so many joys found in having the kids with me all the time, not just in homeschooling. I could literally go on and on all day long, but for your sake I will stop.
Food
We love cooking from scratch in our home. It is very important to us that we know what is in our food. We do a lot of baking with sourdough. The kids like to experiment with new foods and we are always coming up with new recipes. I will share some of our kitchen adventures in future blog posts. I hope you all find the recipes in them helpful to your family.
Sewing
I love all kinds of needle crafts. Knitting, hooking, crochet and sewing are the ones I personally enjoy. I dabble a bit in spinning as well. They are all very stress relieving. My favorite right now is sewing. I bought a brand new JUKI DDL-8700 9 months ago to start a cloth diaper business. The same week we came to the realization that we were adding baby number seven to our ever growing family. He is now 2 1/2 weeks old! I have been making diapers like crazy and am getting ready to launch my online diaper business very soon. I also make cloths for my kids. They think I can do anything! It is nice to have their confidence, but it also puts a lot of pressure on me to not disappoint them. Obviously it is impossible to never disappoint, after all we are only fallible humans.
A Sincere Thank You

Amber Adams
